Timeline

2018

Months of user-centric research in Uganda’s Mbale District give the team a better understanding of the problem, and potential solutions. By the end of this year, the founding team has formed.

2020

Awarded the opportunity to manufacture and implement S+ Platform units by the United Nations Capital Development Fund.

2022

USAID-funded partnerships with PATH, Health Access Connect, Management Sciences for Health, and the Ugandan Ministry of Health lead to 50 implementations in Ugandan health facilities.

2024

Signalytic expands across the African continent into Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, and Burundi, connecting over 200 facilities to 7 internationally recognized healthcare applications by the end of the year.

Timeline

2017

While our founder is in Uganda, he sees the human impact of drug stockouts first hand. This plants the seed for solving this problem in his mind.

2018

Months of user-centric research in Uganda’s Mbale District give the Ugandan-Canadian team a better understanding of the problem of drug stockouts, and potential solutions. By the end of this year, the founding team has formed.

2019

Signalytic is awarded a contribution from the Canada’s National Research Council to engage in Research and Development for the first S+ System Prototype.

2020

Awarded the opportunity to manufacture and implement S+ System units by the United Nations Capital Development Fund.

2021

Units are implemented in twenty-six healthcare facilities as part of an active pilot.

2022

USAID-funded partnerships with PATH, Health Access Connect, Management Sciences for Health, and the Ugandan Ministry of Health lead to more implementation in the country. $1.6 million seed round closed for Signalytic.

What do you do at Signalytic? 


COO - Provide operational support and partnership development in countries where we work.

What do you like doing in your free time?
Watching and playing hockey (go Leafs!), advocating for improved walkability, bikeability in my town and indie music.

Willem Atsma


What do you do at Signalytic? 


CTO - Plan and develop the technology roadmap, and set priorities for the tech team. I also spend a good part of my time working on the core server code.

What do you like doing in your free time?
Windsurf and camp, at the same time!

Managing Director. (Signalytic Uganda) -   Focused on team's growth, and keeping the morale high.

Podcasts on Tech & Business and adding to my collection of half-read nonfiction titles on poli sci & African history

CFO - Active on fundraising, budgeting, and all things financial.

What do you like doing in your free time?
An avid runner, basketball player, and concert-goer, while always on the search for good new tunes.

Lead Software Developer - Tackles challenging software problems and strives to help the software team be the best developers they can be.

Exploring the trails of Vancouver Island or hunched over a workbench with electronics.

Conrad Mugisha

Backend Developer (Signalytic Uganda) - Cooperate with technical teams of client organisations to onboard Third party softwares (EMR) onto the Signalytic platform

What do you like doing in your free time?
Outdoor activities: Running, Hiking and Cycling.

Patrick Gregorio

Full Stack Developer -  Build web applications and the servers they communicate with.

What do you like doing in your free time?
Playing videos games, listening/playing to music, travelling and keeping myself updated with new tools for my trade through online courses.

Advanced field Techncian - Field visits, installations and technical support to keep our products online.
